Rowing across the Pacific – alone
Ever heard of Roz Savage? She just passed the halfway point of her journey.

She has a track record. She’s already rowed solo across the Atlantic.
Apollo 11 – 39 Years and Counting

I wonder if they’ll ever find the missing original tapes of the moonwalk? How you lose something like that is beyond me.
First time – sort of
This is my first personal blog, but I think I first conceived of and implemented a blog-like approach before the word was invented.
Back in 1995, I learned HTML and discovered that browsers could read and format plain text files in a shared directory. I was managing a small 24/7 operation then, and thought that adding pertinent information and updates to an expanding text file, viewed in a web browser, could be superior to email. The file also contained links to other files as appropriate. I trained my day staff rudimentary HTML, and made the resulting web page the primary information source for the shift workers. It didn’t have a provision for comments, so it was a one way capability.
Sure seems like a long time ago!
